5-4-2006: The Kensington Club
w/ Someday Assassin, A Scribe Amidst the Lions

The Kensington Club. It's a type of club. That we are members of. Except that there is no secret handshake. Well, perhaps there is and we don't know about it because we are only associate members. Which is also maybe why we got the Thursday night show. We were joined by fellow members Someday Assassin and A Scribe Amidst The Lions. I seem to recall that everyone rocked. They may as well change the name to the Rock Club because that's just what we keep doing. Repeatedly.

It's been over a year since we've played the Ken Club. Mostly because it was my responsibility to call Brett and book a show. I don't like the phone. So I finally gave the phone number to Adam. He likes gadgets and has one of those Palm Pilot PDA phones so he likes to make phone calls. It gives him an excuse to use his nifty touch screen phone.

The show went a little something like this:

  • Band One: ROCK! (that was us)
  • Band Two: ROCK! (that was Someday Assassin)
  • Band Three: ROCK! (that was A Scribe Amidst the Lions)

We also debuted "Babbling About", one of my favorite news songs that Adam wrote.

Well, well, well Mr. Ken. We infiltrated your Club once again. It’s been so long since we’ve seen you. Did we rock you? Did we hit you in all the right places? Did our set kick ass? The answer I believe you gave was… Yes. Good show, good bands, fun night. Thank you Mr. Ken
